Why NOW is the best time to visit Walt Disney World.

Why NOW is the best time to visit Walt Disney World.

Times are crazy…unprecedented even! With all of the uncertainty and chaos surrounding us, why would you think now is the best time to visit Walt Disney World?

Is it worth going? Will the magic still be there? I’ve had those questions asked by our clients, friends, and family. As I’ve seen and heard pictures and stories from around the Walt Disney World Parks the last couple of weeks, I find myself itching to return to The Most Magical Place on Earth. In fact, I’ll be there in just a few short weeks with some of the Mouse Class Travel teammates! Below is a photo from one of our clients who just got back from a week at Walt Disney World!

The Smith family, a Mouse Class Travel client, had the most magical week at Walt Disney World!

Of course, everyone’s situation is different, and it’s ultimately a decision that you and your family will have to make. However, I’d like to give you 4 reasons why booking a trip with Mouse Class Travel to Walt Disney World in 2020 or 2021 may be perfect for you, and how Mouse Class Travel can help make it one of your most magical trips ever!

Reason One, Crowds.

Dealing with crowds and planning around them, is a staple of every Walt Disney World trip. If you have peeked at the wait times lately, you’ll see that they are the lowest we have ever seen! Fun fact, I keep my eye on ride wait times every single day throughout the day. This is just something I enjoy doing and it helps when I assist clients with park navigation and time management of their park days. I noticed 5 minute wait times for Flight of Passage, 10 minute wait times for Space Mountain, 10-20 minute wait times for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, 15 minute wait times for Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. The list goes on and on!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

With the exception of the two newest rides in Hollywood Studios, Mickey’s Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance, many of the rides are walk-ons. Even with all these glorious wait times, Mouse Class Travel helps you strategize so that you still don’t have to spend park time standing in line or missing out on what’s most important to you!

One last positive change that is contributing to the glorious low crowds, Disney’s New Park Reservation system. This system is in place until September 26, 2021. It helps disburse crowds and holds your “spot” so that you never have to worry about getting to a park super early before capacity is reached.

Reason Two, Characters.

My family and I are HUGE character fans. Our record is meeting 53 unique characters in one trip! So it was initially disappointing to hear that there would be no character meets (and hugs!) when the parks reopened. However, Disney has made up for this in a very unique way. There are character “cavalcades” that go around the park where you can still see the characters from a distance. And we get to see and interact with characters as we never have before! Below are just a few examples.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto on a musical pontoon boat character cavalcade at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
  • Merida riding up Main Street in Magic Kingdom on her horse, Angus
  • Pocahontas and Meeko waiving from a boat “Just Around the River Bend” in Animal Kingdom
  • Alice and Mary Poppins chatting with guests in the UK section of Epcot
  • Winnie the Pooh chasing butterflies and Joy skipping through the fields near the Imagination Pavilion (Epcot)
  • And more!

You may not have character autographs in a book, but you’ll still have many magical pictures and memories that your family will cherish for a lifetime!

Reason Three, Safety.

In the “new normal” world we live in, safety is at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Disney has a standard of excellence that has always stood head-and-shoulders above the rest in the travel industry, and these new challenging times have shown that their reopening standards are no exception. In fact, their attention to detail and sanitation protocols make me feel safer there than a trip to my local grocery store!

Lisa Thompson

I haven’t always been **borderline obsessed** with Disney. I have over a decade of experience in various doctors offices and hospitals running statistical analysis to create efficiency. Shortly after taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom, my husband and I found ourselves on our first family trip to Disney World when our kids were 9 months and 2 years old. It was then that I learned Disney isn’t just magical, it’s logistical! So, now I’ve taken all my analysis—combined it with efficiency, organization, and Disney-like superior customer service—and help families create a Disney vacation your family will always happily remember.
