Missing Disney PhotoPass Photos Disney Reopening

If you’re at Walt Disney World now, or in the coming months, and are missing Disney PhotoPass photos, keep reading.
Prior Approval
My experience and the experience of several clients over the last two months of Disney’s reopening, has been some photos take longer than others.
The delay is because Disney Cast Members are manually approving PhotoPass photos. Why? Disney wants to make sure all guests enjoying the theme parks are complying with Disney’s face covering policy. If you are not wearing a face-covering in a photo, Disney will not push photos to your MyDisneyExperience account.

Here’s Disney’s face covering policy as of today. Please follow this link for any updates or changes. Scroll down, look for face coverings, then select the blue hyperlink to read more.

Personal Experience with Missing Disney Photopass Photos
You may experience unusual delays in receiving your photos; even if you comply with wearing a face covering,
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin Ride Photo
My family’s ride photo showed up within an hour of exiting the ride. When riding solo, on the same ride, my photo didn’t show up until I was home, 8 days later.
My family’s partner statue photo, in front of Cinderella’s Castle, took about two days to show up in MyDisneyExperience. Whereas, my family’s partner statue photo showed up in less than 30 minutes.
My best advice to enjoy your vacation without stressing over missing Disney Photopass photos
Use the notepad on your smartphone to document the date/time/location of the missing photo. You will need a photo of yourself that day to show what you looked like. When you get home, submit the missing photo request, along with what you looked like that day so Cast can spot your missing photo easily.

Document your missing photos
Another easy way to document your missing photos? Take a photo of what you look like that day, text it to yourself with a note of the photo date/time/location of the missing photo.
I hope this helps!! Let me know in the comments if you have other ideas, questions, or want to share your experience with Disney Photopass!
