Disney Reopening – Mobile Food Ordering at Walt Disney World
Mobile ordering isn’t new to Walt Disney World; however, changes are underway to utilize that technology a little differently in a post-COVID Walt Disney World. Two changes, payment method and pick up options.
Say you are walking back to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a midday break after a long morning at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. You’re tired and everyone is hungry. Disney has you covered! During your walk, simply open the MyDisneyExpereince app and look for the option that reads Skip the Line – Order from Your Phone! Mobile order food from wherever you are, for less wait time at mealtime. Genius, right?
Once the app is opened, choose your dining location. In this case, Contempo Cafe, the Quick Service location next to Chef Mickey’s inside the Contemporary Resort. Next, select your food choices followed by the method of payment. Once your order is selected and paid, you would see a blue button I’m Here, Prepare My Order followed by a summary of your order.
What’s New with Mobile Order
First, when placing mobile orders, it appears that guests will be required to select 30-minute increments of time when they will arrive to pick up their orders.
We aren’t sure if all Quick Service locations will be available, but this our first step towards keeping safe in our most favorite place on earth!
